Krissy - thank you!! It means a lot hearing it come from you - you do so well with your boys - not to mention your occupation puts you in the know! I don't feel so guilty anymore..... I guess the educational part is doing its magic too - it's obvious once he starts repeating words he hears while watching the DVDs. Hope to see you soon!

If Elmo is making him happy...then let him watch it. Elmo's voice is so much fun for babies. Like everyone has already said, as long as he is being stimulated in other ways....he will be fine. As a mom, I know how you need a break!!!! I loved naptime to just regroup but if he is not napping so well, it is not so great for you. Also, Jaden needs to figure out on his own, how to "play" by himself--with you supervising of course. Keep Elmo on and place some puzzles or blocks, etc. near him, he will eventually move over and begin to "play". It sounds like you're doing a great job, don't second guess yourself! Give yourself credit for making this little boy your #1 priority!!!

You are doing an awesome job. Perhaps you could include a morning walk weather permitting which might be good for you both. Perhaps an outing once a week when you both are feeling better. Let me know what I might do to help. Love, Mom

I'm so glad to hear that Jaden has been sleeping better for the past few days...I hope it continues!  Sorry you're all feeling lousy, though.  :(  My personal opinion about the TV thing is that if you sit him in front of the TV with nothing else to do but look at the TV, that's not so good.  If you're setting him up with lots of things he can do besides/while looking at/listening to the TV, then that's not such a bad thing.  Also, it's not like you're sitting him at the TV all day with no other stimulation.  You're playing with him all morning and using the TV to get a little break for yourself...during which you're still there with him and can monitor what he's doing and can still interact with him.  That's a big difference.  IMHO  :)  Love to you all!  Hope you feel better soon.  Tell Jaden I love him & miss him!!  {{{HUGS}}}
